The Royal Mougins Director's Word - August 2014

Mougins, August 2014

Dear members,

The biggest challenge Royal Mougins Golf Club is facing today is its declining membership. In order to insure the Club’s future we need to find ways to attract new and younger members.

We have decided to sell 25 memberships to young (under the age of 45) , active professionals (who preferably live in or near Mougins year round) whereby we postpone the payment of the entrance fee for up to 3 years. Annual dues, of course, will have to be paid and the new member will not own the membership until full payment of the entrance fee is received.

We kindly request you to inform us if and when you know any such potential member. We would then contact her or him immediately.

Some other events/actions in the pipeline to increase awareness are:

-         Opening up the Golf Academy to youngsters

-         A Benefit dinner in close cooperation with the Mougins International School

-         A Seniors Tour Event in 2015.

Obviously we are more than open to receive any thoughts that will help us to increase the membership within the near future. It is still Mr. Chadha’s aim to close the course in due time to green fee players.

Thanking you in advance for your help, assistance, ideas and more,

I remain,

Sincerely yours,

Jurgen Wondergem & Team
