Following the original and nice
initiative of Walter Kursteiner, the match Juniors vs Royal Mougins Seniors
took place in a good mood even if it was played in a competitive spirit!
The original formula to oppose in
match play one junior against 2 seniors either in scramble or 2 balls
/ best ball, gave the advantage to seniors till the mid-course, but eventually
the juniors have imposed 5 to 3. Warm snack offered by the Association awaited
the participants at the end and allowed a good exchange between the juniors,
mostly golfers between index 0 & 2, and of full time junior academy of
Stephane Damiano, and the seniors of our club.
A big thanks to Walter Kusteiner for
his initiative and special mention to Philippe Ducourtieux for his
hole-in-one (hole N 17) and champagne!
As for juniors, the 3 best gross
scores in stroke play got vouchers at pro-shop, offered by the senior
participants: 1/ Julien Raya index 2.5 (72), 2/ Jordan Benatar index 2.8 (74), 3/
Steven Weber index 0.4 (75)
