Captains' Cup Results

I TAKE MY HAT OFF FOR THE LADIES!!!!

2009 was a very active year for the Ladies section. Record numbers participated in the Ladies Days, and we had excellent results in our outside competitions.

All this was due to some extremely dedicated and positive Team Managers – and the Ladies’ Captain  took the opportunity, during the Captains’ Dinner, to thank:

Judith Hayes, manager of the seniors team, which was promoted to the 1^st division of the league!

Gilda Vivarelli, ladies team manager, who last year took her team to second division of the league – and, a few weeks ago, incredibly, won promotion to the 1^st division!

Laurence Guillemard, manager of the inter-club Réminiscence team, which brought this TROPHY to our Club House for the first time in the history of Royal Mougins.

This Trophy proves that we in 2009 had the strongest female team from Monaco to St. Endréol -

hopefully that will continue in 2010!

The evening was super.

Marina Baumler

I totally agree with Judith, we had a perfect day and evening. Members made an effort to contribute in the atmosphere with their outfits. The dining-room was very elegant and full of precious details and the dinner simple, fresh and tasty. It must be very rewarding seeing us all happy. The singer was also great and going around between tables, so nice of her.           Maari Vesanen

Merci d'avoir participé à notre compétition et d'avoir créer une superbe ambiance pendant la soirée, cela nous encourage pour les suivantes !!!!!

Breaking News - Our Ladies did it again!!

The 2^nd division matches of the PACA League were played on the Valgarde course on March 26, 27 and 28. In spite of strong Mistral winds and tough challenge from the competition, nothing could prevent the Royal Mougins ladies from winning the finals and the subsequent promotion to the 1^st division of the League.

8 girls took part in the hard fought battle. After having made the cut on the Saturday, they were to play against the favourite team from Grand Avignon in the Sunday finals.

The impressive victory against the Grand Avignon team with far lower handicaps was due to the fighting spirit, courage and a superb golfing performance of the Royal Mougins ladies, winning the necessary morning foursomes and afternoon singles.

Congratulations!

Once again, Royal Mougins ended on the top of the podium, and we all wish the Royal Mougins ladies team every success in their coming matches.

Coupe Philiponnat

Don't miss the "Philiponnat Cup", Saturday April 10th, scramble by 2, shot gun at 9.30 am.
