Dear Members,
The year 2013
went by in a flash it seems. After two months of nothing but rain in March and
April we started celebrating 20 years of Royal Mougins with you during special
tournaments, concerts, happy hours, etc, etc. We sincerely hope you enjoyed all
those happenings as much as we did.
We kicked off
2013 with a big New Year’s Eve party and we’ll end this year with one. I am
happy that so many of you will be present the 31th. Our members know how to
party!
Then on January
the 3rd we welcome you again to the Club House to toast to the New
Year and your health together with our entire management team.
Today I read
that the CEO of the world’s biggest investment firm proclaims that the EU is
sleep walking towards deflation. Our politicians accept a 12% unemployment and
an economical growth of somewhere between 0 and 1%. Lack of ambition is
therefore the reason for future failure and disaster.
This might be
the case on a European scale but I assure you that as far as Royal Mougins is
concerned the last thing we’ll be experiencing in 2014 is ‘lack of ambition.
Our team has set many goals for both short and longer term.
2014 needs to
become a financially successful year for all the obvious reasons. Success
through persistence, hard work and fun! We call it ‘Mission Possible’.
Stop reading the
Nostradamus predictions and anything is possible.J
Clearly the
biggest challenge we face is acquiring new members. We are working hard not
only to make sure that Royal Mougins stays The Lifestyle Club on the
Côte d’Azur but we’re adding excitement by opening a professional Golf
Performance Center in April 2014, by our commitment to make our golf course one
of the best around and by re-launching the Spa with a new brand, new treatments
and more importantly a new enthusiastic and extremely skilful team by the end
of March. Furthermore we will be hosting several charities, offering you many
concerts and much, much more. We will inform you of course more in detail in
due time. We are all really looking forward to pampering you in 2014!
By the way: Did you know that we
recently (upon our own request) hosted a site inspection by the people in
charge of the Ladies European Tour (LET)?
We received the thumbs up to look into
hosting one of their tournaments at the beginning of 2015. You can all imagine
our excitement of this. To be continued.
But in order to
guarantee that special Royal Mougins touch and life both on and off the course
we need more members and we need YOUR help. Your family, your friends
and your acquaintances are all potential members. Let us roll out the red
carpet treatment for them so that in another 20 years Royal Mougins will still
be THE Golf Club to be at.

be assured that we truly cherish your remarks, advices and positive criticism.
Please continue to do so (although I have little doubt about this).
And of course I
thank our team for their dedication and their susceptibility to the changes
we’ll be making throughout the year 2014. To them I say: ‘Your time is limited,
so don’t waste it living someone else's life.
Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's
thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner
voice. And most important; have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
